This application persistently keeps GPS enabled even when the screen turns off. I do understand that this is not logical and I agree, but the app crashes without this permission on some phones :(Of course, when you are using this app, GPS is constantly on so the battery might get depleted faster.This application might not work with all the phones, as some of the manufacturers modify the Android in a way that disables the application to function properly. That kind of behaviour has been noticed on, but not limited to, some Alcatel phones.Please test the Lite version of this app first, to see if it works.In case of bugs:Every application sooner or later has a bug. If you find one, please inform me so I can solve the issue. I have a boat and use the anchor pro app that depends on a GPS signal to work. No matter what I did, my phone automatically turned off my GPS to save power after an hour of not being used. This app allows me to sleep without my anchor alarm going off every hour.

worked beautifully for years, but does not work anymore in latest android release. i gave both keeper and the app that needs background updates the special permissions others have noted, to no avail. so sad! i hate google for sabotaging the gps feature.

Good, but the lockscreen notification is big when it includes the gps info. It would be great to be able to hide the gps info to make it a bit smaller
Sad to see the Google Latitude API decommissioned, but this app has tided me over since 2013 to keep my location history (timeline) accurate.
I'm pretty much happy. This is exactly what I am looking for.
